David assisted us by walking the stairs (from level 37 to ground) in his security suit a number of times in quick succession just before the race to check that we had the right stair wells and ensure everything was ok. The area in the stairwell was quite hot due to the weather so we really appreciated his assistance with this.

We had a Citi staff member who required medical assistance due to having a fit in the lobby of the foyer. David got involved and took control over the situation, involved his guards to assist and ensured the staff member was safe and comfortable while waiting for the ambulance. Joel made a number of additional phone calls to the ambulance services whilst we waited for them to arrive which were instrumental in getting the paramedics to us quicker. In addition to this he also dealt brilliantly with the public at the Concierge Desk while all resources were diverted to performing first aid and trying keep the surrounding area safe and secure for the lady involved. Joel remained calm throughout the emergency and assisted the ambulance service with all questions asked of him.

I have been working the graveyard night shift for the past year. Occasionally I go downstairs to have a cigarette around the corner, a few times I have been approached by the homeless for money and cigarettes but 2 weeks ago a group of drunken men became quite abusive towards me and began threatning me, had I not been near the front doors I would not have gotten away in time, I got lucky. After mentioning this altercation to Nav Singh he has since insisted in joining me outside while I have my 10 or 15 min break. Nav goes out of his way to ensure that I am safe during my break. My family and I really appreciate his kindness and concern for my safety. I know this is not in his job description and is going above and beyond to ensure the patrons of the Citigroup building are safe. For this I nominate Nav Singh for the WOW! Awards. Thank you.

Although Laurie has been the building maintenance contact for only a short time, at MetLife he is renowned for his quick response and attention to detail for each and every job. Whilst completing maintenance requests, Laurie quite often has MetLife staff mentioning and discussing other maintenance issues. Going over and above his role, Laurie always comes back to the MetLife Facilities department to report other issues and comments received and therefore allowing us to lodge new requests. This ensures the issues are fixed in a timely manner. Lauries efficiency, energy and enthusiasm within his job role makes working within this building a very pleasant experience.

Darren is vision impaired and was having a few issues with being able to access his floor via the lifts security access system. A meeting was arranged with Darren & Joe Parsons as well as the building lift tech & the security access control technician. Together they were able to come up with an innovative way to reprogram the lift & control system to allow Darren to overcome the issues he was experiencing. Darren expressed the following in an email to me: "Thanks so much for helping coordinate a meeting with the building management and lift people. The outcome is great and my pass is working nicely. This small thing makes a big difference for me and I just wanted to let you know that it is very much appreciated and not at all taken for granted. Joe and Marcos can do solution focused approach is refreshing and the outcome just goes to show what can be achieved with a little innovation, thinking and a real desire to assist."

In particular I would like to recognize the efforts of the following team members: • Robert Craig who was on duty at the time, did a fantastic job of immediately taking control of the situation, recording information and quickly dispatching a guard to the area of concern. • Navjyot Singh who attended the tenancy and was very professional in his approach as well as showing great consideration and care for the affected staff member. • Security Manager, Deborah Brinckley, who went above and beyond by reviewing the incident from home as she was not onsite at the time this occurred. She ensured that all of the information was compiled into a full report ready for us first thing when we arrived in the office the next morning.

Being awarded the fitout contract for L30/2 Park Street and having a 7 week schedule, our reliance on a smooth transition for man and materials management from the basement to the site was critical. As well as the process of Citigroup inductions, this is where Kuar (or Kumar as I call him) excelled. He’s a tough operator but always consistent and obliging, and his management skills meant that the operation of the Loading Dock and transit of users was without fault. Kuar has been an exceptional help to KONE employees during our first year servicing the lifts at Citigroup Centre. He provides our tehnicians with time and space to load/unload in often difficult circumstances, and always provides a high level of customer service during extremely busy periods. He is a great asset to the building and has made our transition that little bit easier. Specifically, he provided our major repairs team with dock space to unload a repaired hoist motor component, which assisted us in completing a critical lift armature repair within a tight timeframe. What made this experience exceptional was that there were numerous deliveries underway but he kept them on time and under complete control, and then negotiated an expediated drop off on KONEs behalf. I would like to nominate Kuar Singh for his outstanding ambassadorship for Citigroup Centre on behalf of KONE Elevators.

There was a recent technical issue with the car park exit boomgate causing a back up of cars and frustrated customers who just wanted to go home. Navjyot and Daniel were on duty at the time and when they became aware of the issue, were fantastic in their approach and really proactive in finding a solution, under very difficult circumstances. As a result from what was initally a negative experience, was quickly turned around by the swift actions of the guards.

I am a tenant on level 31. My parking space is on B1 which is located next to the Loading Dock. The Dockmaster, who I only know as Mr Singh, greats me every morning with such a big smile, offers to help me carry heavy things to the lifts, ensures that noone parks in my spot and farewells me every afternoon. He knows which days I am in the building, which days I leave early and when I have holidays coming up. His constant sunny disposition and good nature is certainly something that makes me go WOW. I am endlessly amazed! He manages a busy loading dock and I have seen many visitors be less than friendly to him. He seems to be courteous and firm with his directions. I imagine it is a job that could be less than inspiring but he brings something special to it that certainly makes a difference to my day.

Ganesh Thapa: On the 7/2/2012 there was a very serious medical incident on site involving a female in the lifts, Ganesh Thapa the day cleaner for Swan Services on duty was the first representative from building management to be notified of the incident for help.Ganesh made his way immediately to the lift to assess the situation, Ganesh ran for further assistance from building security and once security staff in the area Genash did not just walk away from the scene. Ganesh actually continued to hold the lift doors open until the lift could be locked open for safety reasons, once help arrived he actually stayed in the lift the entire time of the incident to offer help, and then you notice when female was being escorted out of the lift Ganesh holds the doors open for safety reasons.Ganesh turns around once the lift is empty and inspect the condition of the lift, this is when Ganesh came and informed security manager of the incident.I was so impressed with the duty care that this cleaner had taken throughout such a serious incident. Most cleaners would just walk away but Ganesh did not, after the incident when I was reviewing CCTV footage WOW to watch the movements of this day cleaner made me proud.
